Ca sera mon premier combat professionnel en regle K1..... Le show se deroulera au lavandou..... Lors de cette meme soiree,Mehdi Baghdad ,membre de la Team FK, combattra aussi dans les regles K1 !!!!

Je suis actuellement a Edmonton avec Bendy Casimir qui combattra ce weekend face a Erik Kosch dans la categorie Featherweight pour la premiere fois de sa carriere.

Sebastien Garguier a perdu d une courte decision face a Nobuhiro Obiya lors d un extra round pour departager les 2 combattants qui etaient a egalite.....sebastien n a pas a rougir de cette courte defaite face a l ex champion du deep et veteran du pride qui ne s etait incline que par decision face a Gilbert Melendez.

Antony Rea n a eu besoin que d un petit Round pour venir a bout de Yoshiki Takahashi (TKO) et s emparer du titre LHW de l organisation FURY FC (Chine).

Lors de ce meme weekend,Mehdi Baghdad s est incline par TKO lors du 2 eme round du Panama Fight league (Panama City) face a un Mexicain toujours invaincu (5-0).Mehdi avait pourtant domine tout le combat grace a ses habiletes en stand up mais s est incline a 30 sec de la fin du 2eme round lors d un passage au sol ou son adversaire a reussi a garder une position montee et lui infliger une repetition de coups ,ce qui a provoque un arret de l arbitre...(un peu rapide selon l avis de Mike et anthony Marzo,hommes de coin de mehdi lors de l evenement)...

La meme soiree,Mike Dizak,un memebre de la Team Tompkins,s est octroye une belle victoire face a un adversaire ceinture noire de JJB.Apres avoir domine le combat en stand up,Mike a finaliser son adversaire avec une belle Kimura....

Encore bravo a tous ces combattants......

FK WHERE YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE !!!!!

 Mardi 20 avril 2010,Las Vegas:160 lbs soit 72kg700

Hier matin,je suis alle renconter mon chirurgien pour pouvoir faire un bilan post operatoire.Il m a dit que tout allait tres bien.Aucune infection n etait actuellement presente,le taux de globule blancs etait redevenu normal,la temperature de mon corps,mon rythme cardiaque,mon taux d oxygene dans le sang,ma pression arterielle,ma tension etc,,.Tout semblait aller tres bien....

La cicactrice de 12 cm,situee au niveau du bas ventre semblait aussi tres reussie...

il m a expique,qu apres analyse,la perforation de mon intestin avait surement ete due a un coup.il n a trouve aucune trace de bacteries,cancer,brulures ou autres....

Il est donc possible qu a la suite de mon regime,ayant perdu beaucoup de graisse,un coup de genou , de poigs ou un kick ait provoque cette perforation....

Aujourd 'hui tout semble rentrer dans l'ordre.Je n ai plus de douleurs,j attends juste que la cicatrisation soit totale afin de pouvoir commencer progressivement mon entrainement....

Le chirurgien m a explique,qu il avait fait une intervention au niveau de mon intestin mais qu il n avait pas sectionne mes muscles de l abdomen...Il n avit fait que les etirer afin de faire l intervention.c est donc pour cette raison que mon retablissement devrait etre rapide!!!!

Il est raisonnable de penser,que je resterai au repos jusqu a la fin du mois d avril...ensuite je commencerai le travai technique (pads,grappling etc) ainsi que le cardio avant de commencer des seances avec opposition a themes....

Je commencerai le sparring au moins de juin afin d etre pret pour mon combat le 26 juin au Costa Rica lors du XVT 4....

A partir d aujourd hui,je vais donc me focaliser sur ma recuperation en faisant tres attention a mon hygiene de vie (alimentation,sommeil,recuperation etc..) afin de revenir au plus haut niveau dans les plus brefs delais....

Concernant mon avenir sportif,je vais commencer par combattre dans differents shows dans differents pays entre juin et septembre en essayant de combattre entre 155 et 160 lbs a chaque fois a raison d un combat par mois...j ai deja des propositions de combat aux USA en Australie au Canada au Costa Rica etc....

Apres cette periode de combats reguliers,mon manger et moi meme discuterons sur les differentes possibilites s o ffrant a nous comme combattre au bellator lors de la saison 3 et attendre la saison 4 pour faire partie du proichain tournoi ou integrer une autre organisation comme l UFC par exemple....

Affaire a suivre....

LE XVT 4 : (Mon retour a la competition)

A l'heure actuelle,le XVT4 qui avait ete prevu au courant du mois de mai devrait etre organise le 26 juin au Costa Rica,Loirs de ce show,je ferai mon retour a la competition.Ayant du faire impasse sur le tournoi du bellator LW,j envisage de retourner a la competition en juin et combattre pour une grosse organisation vers le mois dew septembre.je vous tiendrai au courant de mes negociations.... Lors de cette soiree,je combattrai en leger (155 ou 160 lbs),sebastien garguier combattra a 145 lbs et yassine Ouakil combattra en 155 lbs. A noter que Yassine sera en stage a Las Vegas au courant du mois de juin avec la Team FK !!!!

Je serai en France au courant du mois de mai,je profiterai de ce sejour pour commencer mon entrainement en vue de mon retour a la competition.....

Ensuite,le mois de juin sera consacre a l entrainement a las Vegas au centre tapout avec comme objectif la preparation du XVT 4 qui devrait avoir lieu le 26 juin au Costa Rica...

A la suite de ce combat,je me rendrai au Bresil,tout le mois de juillet afin de m entrainer avec les freres Nogueira,anderson silva etc....afin de preparer mon retour au plus haut niveau !!!!

 SEBASTIEN GARGUIER COMBATTRA EN MAI !!!!

Rien n est encore confirme mais Sebastien Garguier fear sans aucun doute son prochain combat au mois de mai...plusieurs options devraient etre envisageables.

Il pourrait combattre en GBR au Legion 10 championship a 145 lbs ou au PFL2 le 22 mai au Panama a 155 lbs ou au canada au MFL3 le 29 mai a 145 lbs...des confirmation d'un combat,je vous tiendrai informes...

Victime d une infection de l appendice et du large intestin,j ai du subir une operation cette semaine.Je ne combattrai donc pas au Bellator (Saison 2).Je reviendrai bientot ,encore plus fort,plus rapide et plus determine...Un guerrier ne meurt jamais !!!

Lors du 1er tour du tournoi "Lightweight" de la 2eme saison du Bellator,je combattrai face a Toby imada au Mohegan Sun arena a Uncasville (Conn) entre New york et Boston.

Actuellement,ma preparation se deroule parfaitement,je prepare mon combat au centre Tapout de Las Vegas avec Shawn Tompkins et mon poids est actuellement de moins de 75 KG...

Bendy Casimir qui combattait hier soir a Columbus (USA) lors du WEC 47 a perdu par KO contre Ricardo Llamas.

A la suite d un enchainement Poings,genoux de Llamas,Bendy a essaye de lui ramasser les jambes,mais le Timing n etait pas bon et il a doncetait mis KO par l impact du genou de son adversaire sur son visage....

C est bien dommage car beaucoup pensait que Bendy gagnerait ce combat,moi le premier,mais c est la loi du sport!!!! Felicitation a Ricardo Llamas....

Suspendu par la comission athletique jusqu'au 6 mai,le WEC nous a deja annonce que Bendy combattrait de nouveau pour cette organisation au cours du mois de juin ou juillet....Cette fois ci Bendy combattra en 145 lbs.

Toute l equipe FK sera derriere lui pour ce prochain challenge!!!! 

Bendy,membre de la Team FK,a terre mais bat abattu sera de retour dans la cage bientot.

Comme vous pouvez le lire dans les differents sites,sebastien Garguier et Martin Grandmont se sont battus sans retenue...Le combat a ete d une intensite rare...

Sebastien menait le combat,ayant cree beaucoup de domages sur le visage de son adversaire,l arbitre a meme demande au docteur de verifier les plaies....

Le combat a cependant repris et les coups ont continue a pleuvoir ...sebastien a ete touche sur un echange ...mais rien d alarmant....L arbitre panique par l engagement des 2 combattants a arrete sans raison et prematurement le combat donnant ainsi la victoire a Martin grandmont...

sebastien a ete victime d une erreur d arbitrage,toute la foule,les combattants et de nombreux officiels partagent cet avis...

Nous avons donc fait une demande de No-Contest...A suivre....

Toutefois,Seb peut etre fier de sa prestation...Toute l equipe FK a ete fiere de son combattant....

Sebastien Garguier qui combattra demain au MFL2 a Montreal contre martin grandmont a reussi son passage a la pesee puisqu il etait a 153 lbs (la categorie est 155).Son adversaire n en a pas fait autant puisqu il s est presente a 158 lbs.le combat aura toutefois lieu.sebastien a accepter de combattre.En compensation 20% de la bourse de son adversaire lui seront accordes .

A Montreal,demain aura lieu le show a partir de 19h.David Loiseau,veteran UFC et Marvin Eastman,veteran du Pride combattront aussi lors de cette soiree......

Les resultats seront postes sur ce site et sur mon facebook des la fin de l evenement.

En effet Sebastien,qui vient de faire une excellente performance au Costa Rica ce weekend (12 fev) combattra de nouveau le 27 fevrier a Montreal lores du MFL 2, show televise,qui s annonce deja comme un evenement de qualite avec la participation de combattants de niveau mondial comme David Loiseau,Marvin Eastman ....

Ensuite,Bendy Casimir sera de la partie avec son premier combat au WEC a Columbus (USA) le 6 mars prochain....

Le 8 avril,ce sera a moi d entrer en scene pour le premier tour du Bellator (tournoi lightweight) qui se tiendra a Hollywood (Floride) pres de Miami (USA)....

Johnny Frachey devrait combattre en mars avril et mai....On parle deja de lui pour le XVT4 et le MFL3.Les combats devraient etre confirmesz tres bientot.....

Un autre francais,Christophe dafreville,devrait bientot rejoindre ce groupe de travail afin de booster sa carriere sportive...Nous sommes en discussion avec lui de facon a finaliser son arrivee aux USA tres prochainement...

· Ferrid Kheder ~ No Time To Waste

Chicago-based Bellator Fighting Championships recently announced the signing of lightweight competitor Ferrid "The Hurricane" Kheder, an Olympic-level judoka who began competing in MMA in 2006. Boasting an impressive 16-5 record, with all losses coming by way of decision, this French-born fighter is looking to make a splash in the 155 pound tournament set to being April 8. MMA Spot's Joe Gullo recently sat down with Kheder to talk about his judo background, his transition to MMA and his thoughts on his new promotion.

Kheder began his judo training at the age of four. "I started competing right away; I liked the competition more than I liked the sport. Since I was a kid I just loved to compete, so I started with martial arts and judo and I went to the Olympic games in 2000, so I never stopped." Kheder fought for France in those games in judo, where he placed seventh overall.

Initially, Kheder started training MMA out of curiosity. "I didn't know what I needed because, you know, in France it is illegal so we couldn't watch it on TV. Some times I would read an article in a magazine like FightSport, or when I was traveling to Japan to train I could meet some people who were talking about MMA, or I could watch some DVDs but I didn't know what MMA was. One day I decided to go to a gym and ask 'What is MMA?  What do you do to train to be an MMA fighter?'"

Having come from judo, Kheder was initially advised to focus on his stand-up. In contrast to judo where one grips the opponent closely, Kheder had to come to terms with understanding the distance between opponents. "I understood right away that I couldn't practice MMA properly if I didn't practice a lot of boxing, so I spent most of my time focused on that. I did a lot of Muay Thai to start, then I switched to boxing and then I put it all together for MMA."

Kheder's training led him to develop a devastating low kick that consistently knocks his opponents off their feet. "I learned that from a Muay Thai fighter in Australia. Nobody does a low kick like that. in 80 percent of my fights I can take down the guy with my low kick. It's very efficient and the result of a lot of work on my feet."

In addition to his impressive striking and judo, Kheder currently holds a brown belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. "I realized judo wasn't enough because it is really incomplete. I decided to really train a lot in jiu-jitsu. I started training with Vinny Magalhães, I worked with him at Team Quest in California and with Dan Henderson. Then I started to work with Robert Drysdale in Las Vegas, and now I am at the TapouT center with Shawn Tompkins. I can work with Vinny again because he's here also. I'm very lucky to work with all these really great guys, every day I train a little bit in jiu-jitsu."

Having trained extensively in multiple disciplines, Kheder does not favor any one martial art over another and respects them all equally. "When I started [in jiu-jitsu] I was very humble because many guys want to say judo is better or jiu-jitsu is better. They are just different sports and we just need to learn what we don't know. And that's what I did. It was a reality check. I could see that jiu-jitsu on the ground was better than judo for MMA, but with the rules of MMA we need to be complete. I work a lot and accelerate everything because I am 34 years old and have no time to waste."

Since coming to MMA, Kheder has only lost five times, all of which were by decision, and has finished 13 of his 16 victories. "I want to finish the fight. Going to a decision doesn't make any sense in MMA. If you are going to fight, you have to finish the fight. Right now my record is 16-5, but you know, if you really ask me, I am gonna tell you 13-0 because I finished 13 of my fights and have never been finished."

Of his losses, the one he would most like to avenge happened in July of 2008 against Paulo Thiago. "They gave me that fight 10 days before it happened. They asked me to come, didn't tell me the real name [of my opponent], they didn't give me the real record and when I show up, it was Paulo Thiago. I didn't care, I'll fight anybody. It was a close fight. At the end, when the fight was finished, they just add 5 wins to his record and then sign him to the UFC, which is not fair. I had five or six professional fights and they made me think I was gonna fight a guy with the same record. I accepted it and it wasn't the truth, but if they would have told me the truth, I probably would have taken the fight, but I didn't like the way they used to make this show happen."

Since the Thiago fight Kheder has kept very busy, amassing a 11-2 record leading up to his contract with Bellator. When asked what he thinks of Bellator's format, the fighter had nothing but praise. "I like the way they made the show. It's like basketball; we see them so everybody knows when the season is gonna start and you need to be ready. It was a bit that way in judo; you start in September and stop in June. We have time to rest and some time to train hard to be ready for the competition. I like what they do, and I think they try to pick up the best guys that have not signed a contract with the UFC or Strikeforce. We have a lot of good guys in MMA that nobody knows." Kheder also prefers the tournament format, as opposed to having a matchmaker determine the fights. "The best are gonna beat the best, no match making. You win your three fights, you get the tournament and the title shot. That's fair. That's the way it should be. I like that."

Kheder has nothing but praise for incumbent Bellator Lightweight Champion Eddie Alvarez. "He's a good fighter, he has really great skills on his feet. He's really good on the ground. For the first season, he was really the best fighter in the tournament. He was the favorite and just did his job. It's never easy even when you're the favorite to win and he did just what he had to do. It's gonna be tough to beat him, even for the new winner of the tournament it will be a challenge because he's a really good fighter."

Last season Bellator produced the extremely high profile inverted triangle submission by Toby Imada over Jorge Masvidal which was selected as the World MMA Awards "Submission of the Year."  When asked about this fight, Kheder replied, "I really like the way that guy did the technique because he was losing the fight and he did not give up. It was a really incredible submission because nobody was expecting the end. I like that because the fight is never finished and you just need to respect your opponent until the last second of the fight."

 I have signed a 6 fights contract deal with Bellator.I will fight for the lightweight tournament.My first fight will be on april 8th (155 lbs).The show will be on TV (NBC,Fox Sports and Telemundo).I have already started my training camp.I m focused and determenied.

I prepare my fight with my coach,Shawn Tompkins and all my team mates.Some french fighters who train with me in Las Vegas at the Tapout Training Center will help me a lot also to be ready for my fight.Bendy Casimir,one of them will fight at WEC on  March 6th and sebastien Garguier,another one, will fight in Costa Rica on february 12th for Xtreme Valo Todo and then in Montreal at MFL2 .

Sebastien "The Lynx" Garguier vient de gagner son dernier combat de l annee grace a une nouvelle soumission.Apres une entame de combat tres engagee debout ou sebastien s est montre dominant,c est a la suite d une belle projection de judo (Harai goshi) que Sebastien a pu terminer le combat au sol grace a un tres bel RNC.

Pour ma part,j ai gagne le tournoi welterweight (80 Kilos) grace a deux cles de bras (Juji gatame) dans le 1er et 2eme round.C est donc avec le titre de l Xtreme valo Todo que je finis l annee.Un beau cadeau de noel qui propulse mon record professionnel a 16-5-0 avec 11 victoires lors de mes 12 derniers combats.....

Le bilan de l anne est donc tres satisfaisant puisque Sebastien a combattu 7 fois en 2009 et a remporte 5 de ses combats (5 soumissions).De mon cote,j ai combattu 8 fois, ai remporte 7 victoires (1 dec,3 sub et 3 KO) et perdu une seule fois d une courte decision face a Daisuke Nakamura.

Bendy,Moi,Mark Coleman,Mike et Seb

 Le 26 decembre,je combattrai a L Xtreme vale Tudo 2 au Costa Rica en welterweight.ce jour la je combattrai lors d un tournoi 170 lbs ou un titre sera decerne au vainqueur.Je devrais combattre 2 ou 3 fois dans la meme soiree pour pouvoir gagner la ceinture.

Les participants au tournoi ne sont pas encore tous connus actuellement,je vous communiquerez les noms des que je les connaitrai.

Lors de ce show,Sebastien Garguier combattra aussi en 155 lbs ainsi que Mike Marzo,mon cousin ancien judoka medaille d argent au championnat de France cadet  qui participera a son premier combat de MMA amateur en 155 lbs.

Actuellement,nous sommes tous les 3 a Las vegas,nous nous entrainons au centre Tapout en compagnie de Bendy Casimir,Sam Stout,Chris Horodecki ,Vinny magalhaes (ce dernier,pourrait lui aussi combattre lors de cet evenement)

CASIMIR BENDY NE COMBATTRA PAS AU WEC DU 10 JANVIER 2010.
Son manager,Matt stansell,vient de m appeler pour me dire que le WEC preferait attendre l obtention definitive de son visa avant de l annoncer definitivement sur une carte.Il devrait donc faire son entree en fevrier ou mars a 145 ou 155 lbs face a un adversaire encore inconnu.Dave Jansen,son adversaire presume,combattra bien le 10 janvier contre un autre adversaire.Des que nous obtiendrons plus d informations,nous vous les communiquerons.

Sebastien won his fight by Kneebar on the 1st round and I won my fight by KO on the 1st Round.We also get the Submission of the night and the KO of the night.....

 I will fight against Randal Jimenez in Costa Rica next saturday at 175 lbs.

Casimir Bendy qui etait venu aux USA durant 3 mois cet ete avait pu s entrainer avec moi dans les differentes structures en Californie et au Nevada.Durant son sejour,je lui avais permis de discuter avec des personnes interessantes pour donner un nouvel elan a sa carriere,Matt Stansell,manager de nombreux combattants comme Huerta,Vera,Sanchez etc.. lui avait propose de l aider dans ses demarches en devenant son manager officiel.Bendy avait accepte l offre.A peine quelques semaines apres cette collaboration,Matt m a appele pour me confirmer que Bendy ferait ses debuts au WEC le 10 janvier 2009 a Sacramento (CA).Son adversaire devrait etre Dave Jansen.Bendy evoluera en 155 et 145 lbs.Le WEC est la reference mondiale pour les featherweight.

Pour l instant Bendy est chez moi a Las Vegas et preparera son combat au centre Tapout de Las Vegas avec Shawn Tompkins notre entraineur.

Le dernier seminaire qui a eu lieu le 15 nov a Sartrouville a ete une reussite.Avec plus de 35 participants,ce stage a ete une reussite.Bravo a tous les participants et a l organisateur Laurent Meseguer du COS Sambo Sartrouville.  Site du club:  http://cossambo.fr
